Champagne Lejeune Père et Fils
The winery Champagne Lejeune Père et Fils (Father and Son) is located in the small village of Villers Marmery, on the slopes South East of “Parc Régional de la Montagne de Reims” (Reims’ Mountain Regional Park).
Our family has been devoting to the vine cultivation and the champagne’s wine process since the 17th century.
Our Champagne is produced directly in our property winery according to the traditional methods passed down from father to son.
The traditions are preserved but the skills/techniques have changed… and continue to develop.
The vineyard is divided into several plots covering 3 villages: Villers Marmery, Verzy and Ambonnay tagged 1er and Grand Cru.
The grape variety Chardonnay represents 90% of the vineyards. Few plots of Pinot Noir are planted in Ambonnay, Grand Cru, a village where we can also find red wine in addition to champagne.
Champagne elaborated with 85% of Chardonnay, a grape variety that gives all the finesse, and 15% of Pinot Noir. The Brut Réserve is a blending of various years and is aged 2-3 years in the cellar.
Champagne with the same characteristics as Brut Réserve but more dosed in sugar (liqueur) during the disgorgement. It is ideal for desserts.
Champagne made with 75% of Pinot Noir and 15% of Chardonnay. Coloured by the intake of 10% of red wine from Ambonnay.
Brut Grande Réserve
40% of this Champagne is vinified in oak barrels and aged in the cellar for 3-4 years, which gives maturity and complexity. 100% Chardonnay.
